It's in the news, school, friends, and even at your favorite local bar.
As a political scientist student, I see, breathe, and talk politics. In the news there is our local government. Our government filled with vested interests, a raging desire to be always on top, wealth and power is in their mind.
Now, before you get mad at me for saying this, this is based on facts. Angelo Reyes, GMA anyone?
This is human mentality, politics is in ourselves. In our everyday life we are politicians. Why? Just like them. Who doesn't want power, wealth and name in the society. Everyday we see persons outdoing each other, boasting their power over others. Money, cars, clothes and cribs that they have. If you have more of these than the other one then you control power over him. If you are more popular than the other, then you have control over him.
Wealth then than means you have power over others, you have resources to manipulate the masses in order for you to become popular. Now if you're popular enough then you gain power over the masses. Power then that means you can do everything you want and gain the respect of the others.
Now who said Politics is only for our local Government.Before we complain about their corrupt wealth, how they mismanage the peace and order of our country. Let's see ourselves first and ask, Is their a difference between me Angelo Reyes?
